You first get the stories broken down. Every word, every phrase, every kanji, every grammar is explained in minute detail.By the end, you’ll be reading far lengthier stories than you ever thought possible—and you’ll actually be following everything that’s happening remarkably well! If one of your goals is to read Japanese literature, this is a great way to get your feet wet and then slowly ease yourself into the deep end. “Classical Japanese Reader and Essential Dictionary”

And if you want to learn Japanese through reading, specifically, there are two main ways to grow. Intensive vs Extensive Reading This highly effective method trains you to THINK in your target language by presenting the language in a natural, contextual way (similar to how you learned your first language as a kid). We’ve created a list of amazing Japanese readers available online and in print, for Japanese learners of all ability levels and learning styles. If you follow my suggestions, you’ll be doing both types of reading—and each one involves a different approach.
