About this deal

Because I found it very easy, I feel like I lost out on a lot of potential game. I never used the cool power that helps you in a re-fight, and I never saw probably half of the enemy cards. That’s not an exaggeration either. In a game that’s one shot and done, it’s a shame, even from the point of view of missing out on a lot of the artwork. This is one of the best cooperative games I've ever played, partly because it's tough. Every fight feels brutal, but not impossible. The Taste The games that happen throughout are more reminiscent of the original game, but the journey outside is where there is all this new content and innovation. It is FUN. There are envelopes and big mystery boxes. Everything has a surprise insides and changes something for different. I was continuously surprised not only by the changes, but what actually was being changed. Depending on how well you play, the campaign itself might be pretty short, but you can battle most of the Nameless with increased difficulty after the campaign is over.

Aeon's End: Legacy is my favourite legacy game. You heard right. I used to think nothing could top Pandemic Legacy Season 1, but I was wrong. This is a campaign that throws giant boulders at you, slaps you in the face with an axe, grinds your bones to a fine paste and showers you with... gifts? Right off the bat, I believe that Aeon’s End: Legacy is the best method for teaching the system to a new player. The boiling down of your mages to their sum parts makes the clarification of terms and analogy minimal. It was effortless to teach the new player for our campaign how things worked as instructions came up, giving them the room to get used to the way in which the mechanics work, before linking in a new mechanic to add to their knowledge. I don't want to spoil all the powers and cards for you, but trust me, they're great. Every time you kill one of the Nameless and move on, you'll be given more supply cards to swap in. This is one of the most generous legacy games ever, there's no drip-feeding here. It almost feels wasteful at times, we haven't used all of the cards we were offered. This large set introduces many new mechanics and cards, as well as a new gamemode. Spells with the ECHO keyword are cast twice from a breach, and relics with the ATTACH keyword are attached to breaches, adding effects when spells are cast from those breaches. Many of the new mages include innovative new mechanics using custom cards, breaches, and tokens. The Expedition Mode allows multiple games to be linked together, rewarding players with new Treasure cards, which provide permanent bonuses during a game. Of the 12 hour Aeon’s End Legacy Campaign run, the breakdown was about – 66% gameplay, 8% following allowing the adventure story, 10% making upgrades and changes, 10% setup and dismantle, 2% me losing things / trying to find them and 4% breaks. (The longest break I took was 13 minutes at approximately 8 hours in where after a big loss I proclaimed “I just need a break”). Finally, there are four boxes labeled A, B, C and D. I’m not going to tell you what’s inside them, you’ll just have to find out for yourself. “What’s in the box?!” How Does It Play? The New Age's expedition mode and relevant randomiser/treasures and rules are there, so that should be fully playable. I played solo for the campaign, which works in almost exactly the same way as it would for anything up to four players. I really recommend Aeon’s End Legacy for solo players. The way the story changes how you play the way the game changes with every chapter is really good. I can safely say without ruining too much that the way my box, cards and character now will almost certainly be different to anyone else who ventures through the campaign.Games are rated for how salty (competitive), tasty (replayable) and spicy (original) they are. The Salt Things that are only compatible in the Legacy Campaign are not included, so the otherwise non-functional Haze Fiend and Maelstrom are not included, neither are the 8 blank user created mages.

I’m going to preface this review of Aeon’s End Legacy by saying I’ve split it into two sections: a spoiler-free overall run-down, and then a summing-up which will probably have spoilers around the campaign. I’ll try not to spoil too much, but at least you’re warned. The players take the role of powerful mages who are tasked with the responsibility of preventing Gravehold from being overrun by hordes of creatures escaping from the breaches. Meg hát az "új illatot" is szeretjük és a kinyomkodós elemek is addiktív hatással bírnak. Egy esetben már a boltból hazafelé vezetőúton a buszon kibontottuk a játékokat, annyira bennünk volt a kényszer.

I just wanted to yell “you’re out of your element Donnie” often which I did. This is all a Big Lebowski reference for those unfamiliar. There are four different mages cards but this is just cosmetic, they all start the same and can all be customized in the 500 different ways or whatever ridiculous number was figured out by the designer for how much customization there is. By playing with 2, that means in a round of six turns, it was 2 each player and 2 nemesis.
