About this deal

With the original design, there are no bonded materials, so everything could conceivably be recycled with ease, and they are suitable for vegans. They are infinitely adjustable, so you can spend a lot of time fiddling around with them to get them just right – although plenty of people love doing this. I received a pair of Xero Shoes Genesis when I returned by Amuri Venture sandals for outsole warranty replacement. Xero Shoes had replaced Venture by Genesis in their product program. The Genesis look utterly simple Fantastic for running, walking, and general ambulatory function. Bad for tap dance, moon walking, and sliding about on a dance floor. Pretty good for everything that doesn't require a ton of lateral motion. Oh, and good for golf.

The soles of the Genesis and Z-Trek are very thin and flexible. We recommend a snug fit for these styles. So now, the Genesis huaraches are my default running sandals and I am not thinking about buying another pair of running sandals for running on asphalt or easy trails. My huaraches have taken everything I have thrown at them and done just fine. Granted, I'm no performance racehorse myself, but I have every confidence that my huaraches are not going to fail me. No untying, no excessive slipping, no extra fluff. Now, would I go rattlesnake wrangling and expect them to provide a +5 to my AC? (Nerdspeak there, shoutout to my fellow D&D players) No, I would not. Nor would I personally play basketball in them. Or in anything, because I don't play basketball. But you get the idea. On paved roads, the sandals allow you to do your long slow runs once you get used to them. I have been doing 30+ km runs in them regularly. They are very light, have zero heel to toe drop, and are flexible.Genesis– The Genesis huarache sandals fit true to size. Be sure to confirm your size with the printable templates below.* The sandals themselves hold up well even in rains. They don’t slip. However, if you haven’t tightened the laces well enough your foot may slip in them. If you are prone to blisters you need some protection like applying petroleum jelly at friction spots (like toe posts and ankle hole area) or on tape areas on your soles like the big toes. Also if your here looking for minimal bare foot shoes to wear into venues just get em and try them out! There worth it.

Haven't had them long, but so far they're great. They look good and look well made and robust. One little thing is most people will probably need to tighten the straps around the top of the foot as they are too loose, Here's a good video explain it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMJLDRuv3LU) - make sure to take them off before adjusting them to avoid damage. So far so good. I would buy another pair without hesitation if these last as long as they're supposed to (which I assume they will!) We offer free US exchanges on new and unworn shoes. Read our full policy here Exchange Policy Points to consider for sizing:There aren’t a lot of specifications and materials to the Xero Shoes Genesis as it has the simplest huarache design. Since fewer materials make up the shoe, it’s extremely lightweight. The men’s size 9 is only about 4.6oz each.

Watch the video below to see how to use the template. For the Genesis, the toe post position is very important:The Xero Genesis Shoes were inspired by the brand’s first-ever product – their DIY sandal kit. It is made up of nylon Achilles straps with silicone grip and a contoured 5mm FeelTrue rubber outsole. It doesn’t get much simpler than that footwear-wise. Materials The right combination of barefoot-friendly ground feel plus protection, thanks to our exclusive 5mm FeelTrue® rubber outsoles When you wear them for the first time they do feel strange. When you walk, your feet make a slapping sound. A reminder that you are walking! When you run and if your form is good the sandal makes themselves mostly inaudible. The elastic laces are not adequate in these conditions. I had to improvise and add velcro straps around the lace near ankles and going over the top of the foot to ensure that foot stays firmly in place. This will include some intel on product variation, cost, and other customer perks. Who will cross the finish line first? There’s only one way to find out, and that, dear reader, is based entirely on your choice.

An increasing number of people want to run barefoot or go minimal. If you have been running with heavily cushioned shoes, these barefoot sandals will demand from you a will to adjust your running form and sacrifice pace and comfort in the short term. At first, I disliked the tubular lacing, and thought I would prefer it flat, but it has grown on me. So has the stretch, now that I got the tension right. The knot on the top is nice and flat, and now that my huaraches are balanced on my foot, I feel extremely confident in them. In the long term, you can regain your pace. You will run better and have fewer injuries. If you are going to start running from scratch, these sandals offer a good ‘grounding’. You get a good ground connection and your get grounding in good running economy. You may also have seen them on a particular Xero Shoes Shark Tank episode. Today, their styles are sold in over 85 countries from around the world.
